Club Meetings and Events
Meeting Venue
Club Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month, at The Bull in Olney, Bucks,
starting at 8 pm, except for the summer months between May and August (see below). During the winter months, there is generally a speaker for the evening, talking about
an aspect of aviation, usually related to ballooning. This normally lasts for about an hour, and the rest
of the time is spent in socialising and exchanging experiences about recent flights with other club members.
Flying Evenings
During the summer months of May, June, July and August, we hold Flying Evenings. For these we generally meet at about 6 pm at a selected location within our region, and are generally able to get in a flight of about an hour before dark. Afterwards, we generally hold a barbecue or retire to a local pub.
Future Meetings
The next club night will be a Talk by John Baker by BBAC Archivist will be coming to give a illustrated presentation on ballooning history using postcards and photographs from the archives. John is not asking for expenses for coming to talk, but has asked for a donation to the BBM&L. Non-members welcome. Tuesday 27th April 2010 meeting at about 8 pm.
